Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli

Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 g Sirloin Steak, thinly sliced

  • 1 C Beef Stock

  • 1/2 C Soy Sauce

  • 1/2 C Coconut Sugar

  • 3 Tbs Sesame Oil

  • 1 Tbs Chili Sauce

  • 3 Tsp Garlic, minced

  • 3 Green Onions, thinly sliced + extra for garnish

  • 2 Tbs Corn Flour

  • 2 C Broccoli Florets

  • Sesame Seeds, for garnish

  • Cooked Jasmine or Brown Rice, for serving

METHOD

  1. In a large slow-cooker, add steak

  2. Cover with beef stock, soy sauce, coconut sugar, sesame oil, chili sauce, garlic, and green onions

  3. Cover and cook on low until beef is tender and cooked through [probably 4 hours]

  4. Spoon 2 Tbs of the broth into a bowl and whisk in the corn flour

  5. Pour mixture into the slow cooker and toss through the beef until combined

  6. Add the broccoli florets, replace the lid, and cook for a further 20 minutes

  7. Plate up onto your pre-prepared rice, garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions and enjoy
