“Probably the best tasting beef burgers you’ll ever make. Ideal for leg day…or for when them Wendy’s cravings get ya!”

Servings: 5

INGREDIENTS

  • Multigrain Bagels

  • 500 g Prime Beef Mince

  • 200 g Feta

  • Your choice of sauce (I love this Burger Sauce from Countdown!)

  • Burger filings: E.g. spinach, lettuce, red onion, egg, avocado etc.

  • 2 large kumera (that’s sweet potato to you Americans)

  • Himalayan Pink Salt (this is the good stuff)

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan bake

  2. Peel kumera and cut into fries – place on a baking tray with a coating of olive oil spray and sprinkle of himalayan pink salt. Cook for 30 minutes

  3. Once kumera fries are underway place mince in a mixing bowl. Crumble feta on top and then mix the ingredients together thoroughly with your hands

  4. Roll mixture in your hands to form a ball – you will need to make 5 balls, each weighing approx. 100 g. Press the balls firmly onto a chopping board to flatten to desired thickness

  5. Place patties into a medium heat frying pan sprayed with olive oil. Season patties with salt and pepper and cook for 2 – 3 minutes on each side

  6. Whilst patties are cooking, toast bagels

  7. Add your sauce to the bagel, put the pattie on top and add on your choice of burger fillings. Serve with your side of home made kumera fries and enjoy!
